Elections management is a challenging and fast-paced service environment. We are therefore looking for an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic and well organised individual to join our team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with a willingness to go that extra mile to meet tight deadlines are key to this role. You will have a sound knowledge of electoral registration and elections management practice and procedures, and recent experience of delivering elections and electoral registration using elections management software.
You will assist the manager with various aspects in relation to the preparation and maintenance of the Register of Electors and the conduct of all elections. You will also play a key role in delivering the key changes required by the Elections Act.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Democratic and Elections Manager. Working closely with the Democratic, Mayoral and Civic team you will be expected to assist with civic events during busy periods. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in developing a career in Elections management and in furthering their knowledge and professional skills.
