Education Quality Analyst xe2x80x93 Medical Education Development (MED) team (Manchester xe2x80x93 Permanent)Our Education Quality Analysts are part of a small tight-knit team playing a key part in our quality assurance of multiprofessional education and training in the UK. We review multiprofessional curricula and postgraduate medical assessments against our standards. We work closely with our stakeholders, such as royal colleges, faculties and the statutory education bodies for the UK, to ensure that curricula produce medical professionals that meet the need of patients, the workforce and the service across the four nations of the UK. Our team works with organisations that teach and support medical students, doctors in training, Physician Associates (PA), Anaesthesia Associates (AA) and other education providers such as hospitals, general practices and health boards/trusts to assess the quality of undergraduate/postgraduate education and training. This could include conducting virtual or in-person visits to universities wishing to set up a medical school, PA or AA course in the UK and universities delivering multiprofessional education overseas. Each visit will require thorough preparation to understand what needs to be investigated, the confidence to probe and question, an ability to take detailed notes and the written skills to compile accurate, evidence-based reports.What are we looking for:For the Quality Assurance xe2x80x93 Monitoring and Improvement team, wexe2x80x99re looking for two Education Quality Analysts, both 12-month fixed term contract to join our team, based either in our Manchester or London offices, with hybrid working and flexible working options.Summary of the role responsibilities:In the team, the Education Quality Analyst role provides a great opportunity to proactively engage with stakeholders because one of the key responsibilities is establishing and maintaining positive relationships with external partners throughout our quality assurance processes. Education Quality Analysts collect and review evidence of organisationsxe2x80x99 compliance with our standards for education and training and will help to make judgements on this evidence. They also plan and run quality activities including visits and meetings which may be virtual or in-person.Working with others in the team, Education Quality Analysts provide consistent and accurate advice on education data, including data about serious education concerns, to a variety of external stakeholders and to the public. They analyse and assess risk and potential good practice to be shared with others. After completing a variety of quality activities, they will draft and finalise quality assurance reports, ensuring that findings in these reports are supported by evidence and are relevant to the GMC standards.
