Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to complete an Early Years Team Leader Level 3 Apprenticeship at Jack and Jill's Childcare, Radford
Our Early Years team leader or supervisor apprenticeship has been designed by sector experts to help individuals that have gained their EYE and are looking to progress into a leadership role
The Radford site is situated within the Military residential area of Plymstock at Stokingway Close, Plymstock, Plymouth, PL9 9JL. We are in a purpose built setting with a vast flat garden area which provides many learning and teaching opportunities for the children. If your child loves the outdoors, then they will love coming to our setting experiencing 3 gardens and a playground great for riding bikes, scooters and construction activities, not to mention an area set aside for climbing! Using money fund raised by staff, parents and children we recently installed a climbing tower to add to our slides, balance beams and wobbly bridge!
We also offer a very rich learning environment indoors with the children self-selecting activities and resources of their choice.
We of course cover the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum within our planning and daily play. Jack and Jill's Plymstock pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming environment and the relationship that we build with our families
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
Working with children
Planning
Record keeping
Working alongside manager closely - overlooking the following tasks
Safeguarding
Risk Assessment
Delegation of the staff , marinating staff ratios
Ensuring the day to day running of the setting is going well
Helping the manager write SEN documents
Dealing with outside agencies
Key worker
Will be assigned duties by the manager to take over, behaviour management of the setting, looking for someone to take some of the duties of the manager
Working alongside and in in the absence of the manager to ensure the setting and team are supported
Planning activities
Intimate care
Meal times
Housekeeping duties
Key person - or buddy paired
Learning through play
Competing journals (family)
Liaising with parents
Observations
Record keeping
Requirements;
You must be able to gain a clear DBS,
Having GCSE's A-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills are desired but not essential Level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this role
Hours;
The successful candidate will be required to work between 30 hours per week
Jack and Jill's Childcare, Radford is open from 08:00-17:00
