Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. This role is pivotal in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, ensuring their development and learning through play-based activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and demonstrate effective communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.

Duties

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children in the nursery. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and well-being. Collaborate with colleagues to manage daily nursery operations and ensure high standards of care. Lead activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play. Support children in developing essential life skills such as sharing, cooperation, and independence. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.

Requirements

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience in childcare settings is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and staff. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A genuine passion for working with children and driving their development through engaging activities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies is essential.
