Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator - Room Leader to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine enthusiasm for nurturing the development of young children. This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow, while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive skills.

THIS ROLE IS TERM TIME ONLY - 39 WEEKS

Duties

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play. Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all children. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive atmosphere for learning. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and improve the early years curriculum. Drive initiatives that enhance the overall quality of care and education within the setting. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential at Level 3. Previous experience running as a room leader working with children in a nursery or educational setting is required. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their developmental needs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required. A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education.
