E C&I Technician to join one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading chemical manufacturers within the agriculture and fine chemicals industry based in Norwich for a 2-year contract offering an attractive hourly rate of \xc2\xa329-\xc2\xa333.50PH alongside support with accommodation.

The company is a globally operating chemical manufacturing site that focuses on the development and manufacture of crop protection and fine & speciality chemicals for the agrochemical industry.

As an E C&I Technician, you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring expertise in PLC and DCS systems, particularly Rockwell and/or Siemens S7. A solid grasp of UK wiring standards is essential. Your role will involve efficiently managing multiple systems within a single site to ensure cost-effective operations.

To be successful in this position as a E C&I Technician you will need to have qualified to HNC, HND or degree level in electrical, electronic or control engineering. You must understand in-depth knowledge of applicable legislation including HaSaWA, COMAH, DSEAR, CompEx and relevant HSE Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities of a E C&I Technician

• Strategically plan and execute inspections, design work, maintenance tasks, and tests as per the planned maintenance management system.
• Utilise your E&I expertise to drive immediate improvements in manufacturing plant performance.
• Demonstrate strong leadership by training junior staff members on a daily basis.
• Navigate tasks on both macro and micro scales, effectively balancing diverse demands from internal stakeholders.
• Implement process improvement techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Oversee subcontractors effectively.
