Duty Manager
Job Description
Trumans is located just a short distance from Glasgow Central Station on Drury Street. Trumans opened it's doors in February 2025 following a refurbishment of the venue. The venue now has a stunning mezzanine floor overlooking the main bar area and a speakesy style basement bar. While the venue will be wet led a new kitchen has been installed and a menu deigned to offer gastro-pub style food.
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Duty Managers to oversee operations within our establishment. The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality. This role involves managing daily operations to ensure that our guests receive exceptional service at all times. Experience of working in a similar bar and/or restaurant environment is essential.
Responsibilities
:Supervise daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of the venue. Lead and motivate staff, fostering a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Coordinate with staff to ensure quality service and timely delivery of food and drinks. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as required. Basic cellar management duties. Train new staff members on company operational procedures and hospitality standards.
Experience
:Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team. Knowledge of food safety regulations. Familiarity with cocktail bartending practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.
