Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed efficiently and to high standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

Carry out excavation and digging tasks as required for construction projects. Operate machinery and tools safely, including lorries for transporting materials. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other groundwork elements. Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as necessary. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is preferred but not essential. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to dig effectively and efficiently using various tools and machinery. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for operating lorries on-site. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A commitment to adhering to health and safety standards throughout all tasks.
