Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Driller to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating drilling equipment. This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Driller will be responsible for executing drilling operations efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

Operate drilling machinery to perform drilling tasks in various environments, including commercial and construction sites. Conduct routine maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform heavy lifting as required during the drilling process and while handling materials. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to drilling operations. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute drilling projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and safety standards. Assist in welding tasks when necessary, demonstrating versatility in skills. Apply knowledge of masonry techniques when required for specific drilling applications. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Driller or in a similar role within the construction or engineering sectors. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Experience with heavy lifting is essential; candidates must be physically fit to handle demanding tasks. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is required; experience in carpentry is advantageous. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work at heights, including on roofs, safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
