Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Pump Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of drainage systems and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires experience in removing and fitting new sump pumps, servicing pump stations, rewiring floats and control panels, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement effective drainage solutions for various projects. Conduct site assessments to evaluate drainage needs and challenges. Remove and fit new sump pumps, ensuring efficient and effective operation. Perform regular maintenance and servicing of pump stations to ensure optimal performance. Rewire floats and control panels as needed, ensuring all electrical components are functioning correctly. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing drainage systems. Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success. Utilise basic maths skills for calculations related to drainage design and installation. Operate commercial vehicles as required for transporting materials to job sites. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all work activities. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as needed during installation processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in pump drainage installation is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential. Willingness to work flexible hours as required by project demands. A commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality and safety practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25.00-27.00 per hour
