This is an exciting opportunity to join Renfrewshire Council. We are expanding our Road Operations team and need enthusiastic people with the skills and experience to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic benefit for Renfrewshire.
You will have a passion for providing high quality services to the public and for making improvements across Renfrewshire.
Working within the Roads Operations Team you will be responsible for the delivery of our Water Course Maintenance requirements. You will deal with operational flooding and drainage improvements across our network.
You will have experience in a similar role with substantial experience in multi-disciplinary project work and knowledge of the relevant legislation. You will also experience working with contractors and monitoring their performance onsite and track record in achieving work timescales/targets.
You must have effective organisational, presentation, time management and written and verbal communication skills, and be able to develop and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
It Is essential you have a proven track record in financial management, Ability to manage risk and be accountable for decisions taken and effective project management and co-ordination skills.
A relevant professional qualification in flooding or drainage, or equivalent, and a current full driving licence are essential.
