Duties

This role consists of the following tasks of repair and installing new drain pipes, manhole, gully, excavating trenches, laying new patios, concreting, brickwork, clearing blockages, installing new aco drains, CCTV drainage survey, CAT and Genny, installing new water main from property to boundary, internal copper pipework. Assist in the installation of drainage systems and other underground utilities. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring that all materials are stored properly. Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification. Report any issues or hazards encountered on site to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundworks is essential. Driving licence is essential. Digger licence preferred but not essential. Trailer licence preferred but not essential. A valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves manual labour and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
