Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and implementing drainage systems to ensure effective water management and environmental protection. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical skills, making it essential for candidates to possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.

Duties

Develop drainage systems in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Conduct site assessments to evaluate drainage needs and identify potential issues. Assemble and install drainage components using hand tools and power tools. Perform maintenance and repairs on existing drainage systems, including welding and plumbing tasks. Collaborate with other engineers and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met. Carry out heavy lifting as required during installation and maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in using hand tools and power tools effectively. Familiarity with carpentry techniques is advantageous for assembly tasks. Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to design and installation. Ability to plumb drainage systems accurately to prevent leaks or blockages. Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of physical job requirements. A valid commercial driving licence may be required for transporting equipment or materials.
