We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or home care settings, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a strong focus on patient care, including meal preparation and assistance with mobility.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort during movement. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Assist with medication reminders and basic first aid when necessary. Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalised care plans.

Qualifications

Previous experience in nursing homes, hospice care, home care, or assisted living settings is preferred. Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance. Certification in first aid is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards client interactions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A genuine passion for providing high-quality senior care and improving clients' lives.
