Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being.

Must have a eligible driving licence and access to a car

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's individual needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive and possess a valid driving licence is preferred for home care roles. Experience or knowledge of care plans and how to implement them effectively. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. Empathy and patience when dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds. Previous experience in home care or care homes is essential medication administration preferred
