Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Calderglen House. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene levels within a residential rehabilitation facility that caters up to 24 residents. This role requires a strong commitment to environmental hygiene standards and basic knowledge of COSHH.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties in accordance with established standards, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic. Dust, mop, sweep, and vacuum floors, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained. Clean and sanitise bathrooms, resident kitchens, and communal areas to promote a healthy environment. Handle waste disposal responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are followed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Assist with additional tasks as required, including cooking or food preparation when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or care home environments is preferred but not essential. Experience in following environmental hygiene standards and infection control protocols would be beneficial Cooking experience and a working knowledge of food hygiene protocols would be beneficial when necessary, but not mandatory A proactive attitude towards work with a keen eye for detail is essential for success in this role.
