Contract: Permanent
Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

Are you interested in developing your career in a fast-paced dedicated Safeguarding & DoLS Team? If you have experience of working in an administrative function and using a computer-based information system and have previous knowledge of DoLS and would like to specialise and develop your skills further this may be the role for you.


If you enjoy fast paced frontline work this may interest you. You would be responsible for ensuring statutory timescales are met, providing feedback to referrers on the outcome of referrals, completing IMCA and relevant paid person's representative referrals as required and monitoring DoLS conditions and recommendations.


The Person

We are looking for someone who enjoys fast paced work and can make a positive contribution to the delivery of the service including working flexibly and positively to achieve the objectives of the council. You will work well under pressure, have a good sense of humour and excellent verbal and written communication skills.


You will have experience of working with internal and external customers, attention to detail and the ability to be able to pick up new systems or processes quickly. You will be passionate about working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and a commitment to upholding the rights of individuals requiring DoLS assessments.
