Dog Daycare Canine Carer And Driver

Job Description

Due to expanding into new premises we are looking to add another into our fab team of canine carers.

This roles requires a special person as being a driver of our customised vans to collect and return dogs from their homes means that you will be the face of the business. The successful applicant will have great customer service skills, being able to show and reassure customers that their dogs are in great hands with us. A details person is important to ensure all the individual needs of the dogs are met, picking up lunchboxes, securing properties correctly and making sure dogs go home with their belongings and in the correct part of their house.

After safely transporting the dogs to our 5 star licensed daycare centre you will be working with the team to ensure the dog's have a great day. The dogs have a daily programme which comprises of a mixture of outdoor and indoor time, group activities, individual enrichment and extra activities such as teeth cleaning and bath and brushes.

The welfare of our dogs is priority and maintaining a clean environment, being able to manage the behaviour of groups and recognise signs of illness or changes in usual behaviours of the dogs dogs is very important. Part of the day involves a daily welfare check and report for the group of dogs in your care, taking photos for owners and posting on our page daily for updates.

Our ideal person will be happy being outside in all weathers, enjoy being active and on the go, and be committed to always doing their best.

Due to our vehicle insurance you need to be over 25 to apply, and have a full clean driving license (manual).

Training is provided, successful applicants follow a 3-month probation/induction period of shadowing and monitoring to ensure our standards are maintained, thereafter training is ongoing, reviewed every 6 months with goals and targets set.

Hours: 9hr day with paid 1hr break.

Holiday: 28 days paid holiday.

Pay: Starting rate 10.50-12.00/hr, depending on age/experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
