DLF Driver/Warehouse Operative

We are looking to recruit a DLF Driver/Warehouse Operative on a permanent basis to join the Logistics Team based at one of our sites (PTS - Unit 24, The Birches Industrial Estate, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 1XZ).

The Role

You will be reporting to the TR Fastenings Customer Logistics Team Leader, your role will be to be responsible for maintaining the organisation of the warehouse station and ensure the delivery of a cost-effective service for both internal and external customers.

This is a full-time day shift role, with a weekly working schedule of 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Duties include:

Receive daily shipments from our National Distribution Centre.
Approving delivery paperwork against deliveries and reporting any discrepancies.

The accurate decanting of stock from cartons into returnable plastic "VMI" bins - physical work but within manual handling ergonomic weights.

Dispose of waste, mainly cardboard, and keep the designated working area within the facility to a high standard.

Prepare your vehicle, complete safety checks and load the vehicle so shipments are secure and safe.

Ensure TRs customer solutions are properly maintained to the Customers` and our agreed standards -we take pride in our systems and how they represent our business.

Support the business as required with DLF system upgrades, new business implementations and operational work.

Follow all TR Fastenings HSE guidelines while working internally and on customer sites.

Work as part of a team but also autonomous working will be required.

Self-motivated with a "can do" approach to all work.

The Candidate

We are seeking a candidate who values teamwork but also possesses the drive and initiative to work independently.

The ideal applicant will have experience driving a transit-size vehicle, hold a full, clean driving license, and have a background in customer service. Although the successful applicant will be working out of the Pallet Track facility, you will be an employee of TR Fastenings Ltd.
