We operate 24/7 and as such you are required to work flexible hours, weekends and participate in an on-call rota. Full training / PPE / use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools, competency, and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes' high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.
The Divisional Manager is a key part of the management team and oversees high-level HR duties, liaising with the recruitment department to manage depot requirements and setting training standards. They also analyse and improve organisational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. The Divisional Manager will be responsible for the division, reporting into the regional manager.
Monday to Friday, 50 hours (plus on call rota every one-in-six weeks)
Salary:
up to 45,000 per annum, depending upon experience

About the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Manager for the Logistics Management Contract, you will need to be able to lead a team of multi-skilled Field Managers, Supervisors and Field Staff in the delivery of waste-water operational response in a dynamic environment.
Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us, working to deliver real and effective solutions to the waste-water network and drainage problems.
Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes.
Communicating changes in an order process to relevant parties.
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
Documenting procedures for third-party monitoring.
Creating and monitoring projects and teams.
Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
Ensuring staff working on processes are happy and operating efficiently.
Supporting all functions of the business to work together.
Coordinate Field engineers
Evaluate employee performance
Liaise with office planners and the planning manager
Capture Toolbox Talks monthly
Conduct one-to-ones quarterly
Vehicle / people utilisation
Monitor engineers' performance
Carry out investigations
Carry out interviews
Carry out pay rises / PDRs
Look after staff wellbeing
Identify skill gaps and provide appropriate training for the team
Champion Health and Safety
Champion key working relationships with our clients
Manage the mobile phone allocation process for new starters and leavers, liaising with the IT department
Manage the administrative duties with regards to engineers' holidays
Manage performance of staff, ensuring data collations and system usage
Sign off wage submissions
Analyse profit and loss statements to drive financial decision-making and improve profitability within the depot
To carry out any reasonable ad-hoc request, task or project from the Regional Manager, Head of Treatment and Logistics, or any other member of SLT
Always adhere to company health and safety practices and be aware of Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
About You:
The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Previous management and leadership experience is crucial, as is a full UK drivers licence. Having prior knowledge of the utilities sector, especially drainage and waste water, will be an advantage. Being able to prioritise and multitask whilst building working relationships is essential.
