Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispensing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy staff by assisting with the preparation and dispensing of medications. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Ensure that all medication is labelled correctly and meets safety standards. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and readily available. Provide excellent customer service by answering queries from patients regarding their medications. Collaborate with pharmacy staff to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management. Support the administration of medication under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to pharmacy practices.

Skills

Previous experience as a Pharmacy assistant is highly desirable. Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmaceutical terminology. Strong focus on patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks performed. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
