Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the medication dispensing process, ensuring that patients receive their prescribed medications accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and adherence to pharmacy protocols.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions, ensuring correct dosages and formulations. Assist in the preparation and administration of medications under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and health advice. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on pharmaceutical practices.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all interactions.
