Job Title Disaster Recovery Director
Enterprise Risk and Controls (ERC) are responsible for managing risk across Fiserv by providing governance and oversight to maintain a robust control environment, develop innovative risk management solutions and identify, assess, and mitigate/control risks. As a result, the ERC team is able to help Fiserv LOBs protect their business, win new business, continue to cement and advance relationships, and facilitate client oversight.
Position Overview:
The Disaster Recovery\xe2\x80\x93 Senior Advisor I is an individual contributor role that will assist in the development, implementation, testing, education and maintenance of the Fiserv Disaster Recovery program to ensure technology recovery in the event of an emergency or disaster. Will maintain standards and ensure that all plans are documented and meet those standards. The individual will work in conjunction with technology contacts to ensure a high level of awareness across the company as well as the appropriate preparedness during the event of a disaster. Implement firm-wide Business Continuity Management Policies and Standards and provide guidance to all lines of business to ensure they are in compliance.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Develops and implements controls and/or solutions to complex business problems to ensure risks and exposures are properly mitigated.
Leads the execution of Data Center Disaster Recovery exercises.
Evaluates Business Unit infrastructure and system requirements in terms of corporate compliance. Proactively identifies and reports concerns or improvements impacting Disaster Recovery processes.
Mandate that the assessments and plans are adhering to Business Continuity Management Policies and Standards and are updated on an annual basis.
Work in close partnership with the Joint Security Operation Center (JSOC) to identify issues or events that can impact facilities and/or assets. Respond and assist in mitigating all incidents that affect Fiserv\'s interests.
Participate in all audit & regulatory reviews that include Disaster Recovery.
Act as a subject matter expert of Disaster Recovery concepts, methodology and best practices.
Assist technology teams with development and maintenance of Disaster Recovery plans including annual testing of those plans.
Develops and implements improvements and efficiency in Disaster Recovery program.
Maintain documentation and records as it relates to the Disaster Recovery program including recovery plans, test plans, maintenance and testing schedules, standards, vital records, critical applications and framework.
Assist in creating awareness throughout the company in order to elevate the Disaster Recovery program.
Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships (ongoing).
Candidate Qualifications:
Previous experience in an analytical and/or technical position.
Be classified as a subject matter expert of Disaster Recovery concepts and methodology, along with payments industry best practices.
Experience leading large scale incidents.
A mind for process, a passion for data, and a willingness to take on tough challenges.
Possess an understanding of the Disaster Recovery planning cycle including analysis, design, implementation, validation, testing, problem resolution.
Possess knowledge of all technologies relevant to responsibilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of constituencies, including senior executives.
Organized, influential, strong client service attitude, and demonstrated success as a leader within a highly complex business.
Self-motivated, adaptable, strong work ethic, and demonstrated team player.
