Our Vehicle Solutions business unit (\xe2\x80\x9cRVS\xe2\x80\x9d) is almost two years old and commenced with the acquisition of Global Go! in September 2021 (\xe2\x80\x9cRVS UK\xe2\x80\x9d). As well as delivering organic growth, RVS was further supported by the acquisition of Traction Finance which operates across both Northern and Southern Ireland (\xe2\x80\x9cRVS Ireland\xe2\x80\x9d).

The fleet size of each entity of RVS UK and RVS Ireland at the time of acquisition gave RVS an acquired fleet of c.5.8k which we have subsequently grown organically to over 7k vehicles. This growth is largely predicated on the cross-selling of Vehicle Solutions offerings to our existing Group customer base which has in excess of 100,000 customers across the UK & Ireland.

RVS offers a full Vehicle Solutions proposition across both van and car vehicle types to customers including rental, contract hire, broking, maintenance and lightweight body design and manufacture of commercial vehicles (through Maxi-Low, a wholly owned subsidiary of RVS UK). We expect Vehicle Solutions to play a key role in assisting our customers for the forthcoming energy transition as vehicles move from Internal Combustion Engine (\xe2\x80\x9cICE\xe2\x80\x9d) to Electric Vehicle (\xe2\x80\x9cEV\xe2\x80\x9d).

The role of Director of Finance \xe2\x80\x93 Vehicle Solutions is really important to us. You will be responsible for the overall financial reporting and control environment of our Vehicle Solutions business unit including commercial and financial reporting, system development and business partnering with the business unit senior management teams in both the UK & Ireland. You will report into the Group Chief Financial Officer and also have frequent interactions with our Group CEO and Group COO reflecting the importance of Vehicle Solutions to the Group.

The above activities will require you to work from time to time at our territory offices which are located at Six Hills (near Loughborough) in the UK, Belfast in Northern Ireland and Dublin in Southern Ireland. Your primary office will be the Radius Campus in Crewe which is our Head Office

Your responsibilities day to day will be\xe2\x80\xa6

• Support the Group board in all aspects of strategy and financial performance for Vehicle Solutions.
• Provide challenge, senior financial support and oversight to the Vehicle Solutions leadership teams in each of the UK & Ireland.
• Develop and implement strong controls and procedures within both the finance area and wider business, providing a strong base for the continued growth of Vehicle Solutions and mitigation of risk.
• Work with the in-territory management teams to develop existing relationships and build new relationships with asset finance providers and vehicle broking solution providers to support the ongoing growth of Vehicle Solutions whilst also controlling our balance sheet position in respect of owned vehicles.
• Management and development of our finance teams across Crewe, Six Hills and Belfast.
• Oversight and responsibility for our routine annual Budget and Reforecast process in accordance with the Group timetable.
• Oversight of our external audit and other compliance (e.g. taxation) including working alongside our Group finance team and tax specialists.
• Support on Vehicle Solutions acquisitions and / or expansion into other European territories.

What do we expect of you?

• Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant with significant post qualification experience.

• Experience of interacting with C-Suite including both financial and non-financial roles.
• Experience within the wider automotive industry and relationships with either automotive OEMs or providers of asset finance into the UK or Ireland vehicle rental / contract hire market is highly preferrable (but not required).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of managing and developing a finance team.
• Experience of working within a fast-growing business environment.
• Have an impressive attitude - not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
