We're currently looking for a Director, Ethics & Professional Standards to join our Research, Advocacy & Standards (RAS) division.
This is your opportunity to lead the development, maintenance, and promotion of CFA Institute's Code of Ethics and Professional Standards with a regional focus on EMEA and APAC. As a thought leader, spokesperson, and content expert, you'll work with societies, regulators, internal teams, and industry stakeholders to champion ethical practices across the investment industry. This high-impact role balances deep subject matter expertise with strategic outreach and educational delivery to expand global adoption and elevate awareness.
This is a hybrid role based out of our London office, offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to collaborate closely with global colleagues and regional stakeholders.
What You'll Do:Lead the development, promotion, and interpretation of CFA Institute's Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, Asset Manager Code (AMC), and related materials.
Represent CFA Institute at industry events and deliver high-impact ethics education sessions tailored to EMEA and APAC audiences.
Engage with investment professionals, regulators, member societies, and asset managers to expand adoption of ethical codes and standards.
Develop regionally relevant ethics education content, thought leadership, and case studies aligned with local market practices.
Identify and respond to public consultations and regulatory opportunities related to ethics and conduct in the investment profession.
Collaborate across teams to ensure messaging consistency and regional relevance in all outreach and training efforts.
Support internal teams and volunteers with clear guidance and application of CFA Institute standards and professional conduct principles.
What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; Master's in Business or Law preferred.
Extensive experience in asset management, securities research, compliance, investment consulting, private banking, or related areas.
CFA Charterholder strongly preferred.
Proven expertise in ethical and regulatory issues affecting the investment management industry.
Strong working knowledge of global regulatory compliance practices, particularly in EMEA and APAC markets.
Familiarity with the Code of Ethic and Standards of Professional Conduct, Standards of Practice Handbook, and the Asset Manager Code (AMC) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and deliver high-quality educational content and thought leadership.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including public speaking experience.
Collaborative, globally minded, and diplomatic with strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.

At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: 95-110k per year.
All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position. Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% employer pension contribution, and competitive medical benefits.
