West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit 2 Digital Solutions Architects to join the Digital Policing Directorate based in Wakefield.
As part of the Digital Policing team, the scope of your role will be to provide development and definition of the Force Digital Policing security, infrastructure, software, storage, connectivity and application standards to ensure Force and Directorate requirements are fully met.
The solutions architect will proactively lead and support activities that guide the technical development and management of a portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and data), infrastructure services and application services and future business requirements of the Force, Regional and National initiatives, ensuring reliability, interoperability and best value.
You will have a deep understanding of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities and business processes. The solutions architect will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.
This role will create deliverables for managing the organisation\'s portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions, both on-premise and off, to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.
Knowledge of a policing environment is desirable but not essential.
To be eligible to apply for these roles you must have a 5 year \xe2\x80\x98checkable history\xe2\x80\x99 in the UK \xe2\x80\x93 ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years. You must also have a full current UK/European driving licence and the ability to travel for business purposes to be considered for this position.

Definition of Market Factor Payment
In certain circumstances, West Yorkshire Police may determine that payment of a temporary market factor supplement is appropriate in order to address exceptional pay differentials. This market factor payment is temporary and subject to an annual review (the review is from the original decision made). Protection of earnings is not applicable to market factor payments.
