Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months

This is a time of great change in South Tyneside as we continue to shape our own future including driving forwards an ambitious regeneration strategy to meet the needs and aspirations of our residents, whilst managing the challenge of diminishing resources.

We are now looking to recruit a highly skilled digital professional to join our ICT and Digital Team to help deliver that vision.

You will play a key role in the improvement and development of digital services including the Council\xe2\x80\x99s websites, intranet and e-mail campaigns. This is a crucial role supporting the Council\xe2\x80\x99s ICT and Digital Strategy. We are looking for a creative thinker who can:

• Publish content using a content management system and other web publishing tools;
• Engage with staff, residents and stakeholders to develop highly usable digital content and help to improve the online customer journey;
• Help to support staff across the Council to maintain the content of their pages;
• Analyse and interpret web analytics to influence future online design;
• Produce online content to a high standard which is optimised for search engines.You will have significant web content management experience and be able to demonstrate a strong track record in writing and editing on line content, developing multiple websites, working on large corporate websites, improving the customer journey on websites, managing social media sites and producing high quality e-mail campaigns.
