Job Summary - The University of Exeter are recruiting a Digital Humanities Technical Assistant who will be based at the Digital Humanities Lab. You will work with the multidisciplinary Digital Humanities team supporting teaching and research across Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences subject areas. You will be working on a wide range of Lab projects using photographic and audio-visual equipment in the Lab spaces to undertake practical digitilisation work as well as providing support for Lab events and bookings, including the preparation and use of lab spaces and the Digital Humanities Seminar Room and dealing with enquiries via email and in person. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership Scheme (GBP) and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours per week) from September 2023 until August 2024. About You - You should be a graduate who an interest or experience in photography and/or audio visual including recording and editing, has the ability to work in an organised manner, has the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of users, can work independently when required, and is a confident user of Microsoft Office 365 software. You should have an interest or experience in the development and use of technology for Humanities, Arts or Social Science subjects, have an interest in in developing your own personal skills around digital methods, photography or programming, have a keen attention to detail, enthusiasm and willingness to learn, and the ability to problem solve creatively. You should have an interest or knowledge of photographic equipment and methods and digital media production, have an understanding of cataloguing and referencing in a library or archival environment, and customer service experience. You should also have experience of teamwork and collaboration and be confident with a range of social media platforms.
