DevSecOps/Security Engineer - London financial services company - Salary up to \xc2\xa390,000 plus bonus and hybrid working

A global financial services company is looking for an experienced DevSecOps/Cyber Security Engineer to join its UK IT team. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a growing security team who are investing in the latest technologies. There will also be the opportunity for international travel to the US and Canada.

Responsibilities will include: - Providing subject matter expertise on research, code/script analysis, reverse engineering, exploitation, and documentation.
- Identifying, testing, and implementing cutting-edge automated tools or enhancing existing ones for vulnerability management.
- Developing and refining code/scripts to bolster vulnerability detection, remediation/mitigation, and operational functions.
- Integrating vulnerability scanning and configuration hardening in cloud environments (eg, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Conducting vulnerability scanning and reporting in alignment with the application development (CI/CD)
- Spearheading security initiatives and projects with a focus on business outcomes.

To be considered suitable for this Cyber Engineer role you will need the following skills and experience: - Strong experience in cyber security and IT Scripting/coding languages (Python, SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Java).
- Ability to devise innovative solutions to security problems
- A working knowledge of security control frameworks
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and MacOS operating systems.
- Expertise in cyber security vulnerability detection and prevention controls.
- Previous experience required as either an Applications Security Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Cloud Developer, Security Architect, DevOps, Cyber Security Analyst, SOC Engineer or Security Developer.
