Development Relations Manager
Job Description
The Royal Academy of Arts, one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading art institutions, is looking for a talented and ambitious Development Relations Manager. The Royal Academy of Arts receives no government funding and so rely heavily on the Development team to raise funds for exhibitions, the Royal Academy Schools, our Learning activities, and capital projects. We are looking for an experienced and sophisticated fundraiser or senior client manager to support the Director in their management of significant donors, trustees and potential supporters of the Royal Academy.
Reporting to the Director of Development, this role acts as the main point of liaison for our most senior stakeholders and supporters in the UK and globally. In a large, fast-moving team the role is unique in Development in that you may be required to work across income streams (individual, corporate and foundations). Organising and acting as secretary to the Royal Academy Trust and the RAT Executive meetings, you will be expected to look after existing supporters and generate new leads on gifts and sponsorship.
The successful candidate will have previous experience and enjoy looking after high-level supporters; be ready and willing to respond to last minute requests; have clear and compelling communication skills; be able to build rapport quickly and have a track record in working closely with senior staff and clients.
