Deskside Support Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a Deskside Support Engineer III based on their customer site in Dumfries. This is a full-time permanent role, 37.5 office hours to start ASAP. The role is paying between \xc2\xa327,000 - \xc2\xa328,290 depending on experience
As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will:
- Troubleshoot known and unknown hardware issues related to desktop, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and associated accessories
- Troubleshoot known and unknown software issues related to Windows platforms
- Smart hands & eyes support for Infrastructure and data centre activities
- Manage site process documentation and knowledgebase articles
- Manage tickets via the ticket management system
- Configure desktops and printers
- Deal with ad-hoc customer and IMAC requests
- Knowledge of current and past Microsoft windows operating systems
- Basic knowledge of Mac OS platforms
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Intune etc)
- Experience in Windows imaging techniques (Network & Local)
- Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience and technical knowledge of IT, PC\'s, and peripherals
- Display flexibility and the ability to manage your day effectively
