Design Engineer

If so, we have an excellent Design Engineer vacancy designing attachments for the front of plant machinery including Material Handlers, Tracked Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Telehandlers and Tractors.

You will be responsible designing and producing engineering drawings for production for a wide range of new attachments in a busy design office.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

To 3D model and produce engineering drawings for production. Liaise with sales and aftersales departments in producing prospective designs. Liaise with suppliers/sub-contractors answering queries and making revisions and engineering changes where appropriate. Design attachments to suit the sales brief while paying attention to quality, cost and lead time. Liaise with manufacturing facility on products.
Essential Skills:

Proven experience in Solidworks 3D Experience in designing attachments for Excavators & Wheeled Loaders Proven experience in producing detailed engineering drawings for sub-contract manufacture. Experience of weld symbols and welding techniques. Basic hydraulic circuit knowledge. Excellent communication skills. Excellent time management and being able to prioritise your own workload.
Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of FEA and being able to utilise effectively. Industry knowledge of mobile plant, their operations, and applications. Location UK wide, multiple office locations through the business.
