We are currently keen to recruit an experienced

Design and Development Manager

to lead one of our dedicated Design Engineering teams and oversee the design and development process from start to finish across multiple projects. This role requires you to work closely with designers, developers, suppliers and our own internal operations teams to ensure the delivery of market leading products from concept through to completion.

The key responsibilities include:

Lead team of design and development engineers to produce innovative solutions in line with project time frame. Oversee the design and development life cycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and budget to the highest quality standards. Ensure project gateways/milestones are adhered to and update in line with ISO standards providing weekly project updates to senior management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, production, marketing and sales, to ensure projects are delivered in line with business objectives. Responsible for all new product data and introduction of that data to the business. Provide support in the setting of policies and product introduction. Product sector gate keep for the life of the product.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Project management experience, prioritising and managing multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to agreed deadlines. Proven experience in a leadership role. Background in engineering, manufacturing and /or product development. Ability to identify and mitigate risk and challenges. Strong organisation and planning skills with a high attention to detail. Strong numeracy skills. Effective communicator with clients, stakeholders and team members. Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure. Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel).
