About the Role

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the smooth, safe, and effective operation of the nursery. You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining compliance, delivering outstanding early years education, and ensuring children receive the best possible start to their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment Mentor and guide practitioners, encouraging professional growth and development Ensure full compliance with the EYFS framework, safeguarding protocols, and health and safety standards Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities tailored to individual needs Oversee nursery administration including care plans, medication logs, and rota management Promote innovation and creativity across learning activities and the wider setting Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

What We Are Looking For:

Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (essential) At least one year of experience in an early years or nursery setting (essential) Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements (essential) Experience supporting or leading a team (desirable) Level 5 qualification in childcare, leadership, or management (desirable) Experience working in a nursery rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted (desirable)
