We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager (RGN/RMN) to support the Home Manager in leading our care home in Biggleswade. This unique role combines hands-on clinical work with managerial responsibilities, perfect for a nurse looking to progress into leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical (23 hours/week):
Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents
Administer medications and treatments
Conduct clinical assessments and update care plans
Mentor and supervise nursing staff
Managerial (15.5 hours/week):
Support the Home Manager with day-to-day operations
Lead staff training and development initiatives
Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
Manage rotas and assist with recruitment
Handle safeguarding concerns and quality assurance
Essential Requirements:
Valid NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
Minimum 1 year experience in a managerial/supervisory role in social care
Comprehensive knowledge of CQC standards and care home operations
Strong clinical skills with experience in elderly/dementia care
Excellent leadership and communication abilities
