The Castle Inn at Spofforth is looking for an engaging & passionate Deputy General Manager, an aspiring General Manager, to assist the General Manager with the daily running of the pub, restaurant & hotel.

The Castle Inn opened in November 2016 following extensive renovation. A range of stunning function spaces and twelve individually designed bedrooms make it a very special place to work. We continually invest to develop take the business to new levels.

We will offer a full training and induction program to fully introduce the successful candidate to our businesses and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the General Manager with the successful day to day management of all aspects of the Restaurant, Bar and Hotel taking full control and accountability for all areas in their absence Ensure all current Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures are complied with A hands-on approach and postive leadership by example are essential, training, developing, and motivating the teams to deliver exceptional levels of customer service Weekly delivery of the site P&L with sound finacial and operational awareness Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to both work on your own and be a great team player with a 'can-do' attitude Demonstrate the highest levels of attention to detail, be quality driven and can work at pace without compromising on standards Assist in developing the business by continually seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve service, anticipating changes and planning accordingly Must be computer literate, with previous experience of using EPOS, Table Reservation Systems and PMS being advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
