Background
The Deputy Director of Careers and Employability is a member of the Careers and Employability directorate leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction, leadership and operational management of Careers and Employability.
Responsibilities
The overall purpose of the role is to contribute to achieving the vision and mission of the City Careers and Employability directorate by providing effective leadership and management support to the Director of Careers and Employability as part of the City Careers and Employability leadership team. The role will focus on both the strategic development and operational enhancement of Careers and Employability, ensuring alignment of all aspects of the Service to core institutional mission and strategic aims.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have substantive experience within Higher Education careers and employability sufficient to develop expertise in all our major practice areas and exposure to a wide range of stakeholders. You must have experience in supporting strategic change and development, of working in a complex, multi-layered organisation and of direct line management of teams.
