As the Deputy Manager
you will earn up to 34,000- 38,000.

Responsibilities of the Deputy Care Manager:
Work closely with & assist the Home Manager to lead a successful team and run the day-to-day operations of the home.
Supervise and support all staff members.
Attend reviews & liaise with other professionals as part of the wider team ensuring children achieve their aspirations and full potential.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of placement and risk management plans.
Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour.
Assist the Registered Manager to ensure the safety of all children, young people, and staff - including ensuring that safeguarding practice, procedures, and recording all regulatory requirements and professional expectations.
To complete a mixture of shift based worked as well as administrative hours to meet the needs of the home.
Take on senior responsibilities that the Manager deems appropriate (e.g. Health and Safety, Medication, petty cash etc.)
To assist with recruitment / onboarding of new staff within the home.
Support the manager in the development of Senior and RSW knowledge and skills base.
To be part of the Home's Management On-Call Rota for 7 days per month.
The willingness to undertake (if not already completed) Level 5 Leadership and Management.
It is essential for the Deputy Manager to have:
Diploma OR NVQ Level 3/4/5 in Children and Young People's Workforce.
Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Desirable) or willingness to complete (essential)
2 years' work experience working at Deputy level with young people in a residential environment.
Hands on experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs including challenging behaviour.
