Job Description

The School of Dental Nursing based in West London require a part time dental nurse tutor for our students who are following the Diploma in Dental Nursing, accredited by the NEBDN.

Experience preferred, minimum background as an experienced dental nurse, may suit someone who would like to combine dental nursing with teaching. Students are enthusiastic and determined; we would require similar characteristics in a tutor, good modern facilities, warm and friendly staff.

Responsibilities

- Lead and teach Diploma in Dental Nursing programme.

- Monitor the students' progress by regular assessments of their performance in line with individual learning plans

- In conjunction with the Courses Co-ordinator and Director of Quality Management, ensure that the College assessment strategy achieves consistency of standards within and between teaching programmes.

- Liaise with external examiners and make appropriate arrangement for College visits.

- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Principal/CEO.

Essential:

- Valid registration with General Dental Council (GDC)

- Ability to lead and motivate a small team

- Degree level education & relevant qualification

- Confident in representing the programme internally & externally and on College committees

- Enthusiasm, commitment and excellent communication skills

- Willingness to work at both centres (Acton & Reading) as necessary

- Flexible attitude to School requirements and responsibilities.
