A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Part Time Dental Nurse/ Receptionist to join our friendly practice and support our wonderful dental team. White House Dental Practice is a fully private practice based in Bushey Heath and provides exceptional private general dental care in a relaxed and contemporary environment.

Hours:

2 days per week, Wednesday and Thursday Must be flexible to cover extra hours for sickness and holidays

Salary:

From13.50 (Dependant on experience)

Key responsibilities & duties

Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment following HTM guidance and protocols Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned Clean and sterilise all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste Maintain the radiograph processing unit Escort patients from the waiting room to the surgery, confirming the medical history and bringing any changes to the attention of the dentist Provide clinical assistance under the supervision of the dentist Continually evaluate the needs of patients and specialist and deal with them promptly and efficiently Assist in the completion of patient records Monitor and maintain stocks as necessary and liaise with the head nurse regarding any shortages of materials Ensure that all necessary laboratory work is returned and ready for each session Follow all practice policies and procedures and patient confidentiality Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the dental team Comply with all GDC and CQC requirements Reception duties
