We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Ideally we are looking for a qualified dental nurse but if you were interested in dental nursing this would include attending Bangor once a week for training starting in September 2025.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
Provide chairside support to enhance patient comfort and care throughout procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring confidentiality.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure optimal patient flow.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to uphold high standards of infection control.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification or diploma.
Strong IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems (SOE)
Proficient in English with excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
Ability to demonstrate strong organisational skills, managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
Previous experience in a dental practice is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
