Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our dynamic, friendly fully private dental practice in Chipping Norton.

Whether you are training or qualified we are just looking for the right person for our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team and ensuring that the practice runs smoothly.

This position requires strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

As well as general dentistry you will have the opportunity to work with specialist and special interest dentists. We all love variety here!

Working hours:

Monday

8:45am - 7:15pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Tuesday - Thursday

8:45am - 5:15pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Friday

8:15am - 4:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch)

Part time will be considered but a minimum of two days a week will be required

Duties

Assist the clinicians during various dental procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and readily available. Working alongside dental specialists including our Periodontist, Endodontist and Implant dentist and Orthodontic dentist. Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have during treatment. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with relevant regulations. Manage appointment schedules and coordinate patient flow to optimise clinic efficiency. Ensure that all dental equipment is cleaned, sterilised, and maintained according to health and safety standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a high standard of patient care is consistently delivered. Assisting with reception duties when required/to cover annual leave.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly to patients and colleagues. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practices for record keeping and scheduling purposes. EXACT SOE dental software (Desirable but not essential) A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
