Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting oral health.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as required. Provide chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and organised clinical environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction. Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Dental Nursing (e.g., NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent). Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) is essential. Previous experience in a dental practice is advantageous but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues alike. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dental software systems is beneficial but not required as training will be provided.
