We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical tasks, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting in the overall management of the dental practice.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Perform assessments of patients' oral health, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
Utilise 3D technology to assist in creating dental treatment plans.
Provide education to patients regarding proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Use dental imaging to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure that all dental instruments and equipment are sterilised and prepared for use according to safety protocols.
Enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygiene licence or equivalent qualification recognised in the UK.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health, including teeth, gums, and surrounding structures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health matters.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
A compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatments.
