About HDEN
Addressing energy challenges and Climate Change is high on the Local, Regional and National agendas. Our Energy & Climate Change Team is working hard to develop and implement our detailed Climate Emergency Programme across the Council and the Kirklees district, including the Huddersfield District Energy Network (HDEN).
The Role
As part of our ambitious district net zero and \'climate ready\' target year of 2038, Kirklees Council have developed an Outline Business Case for a Huddersfield District Energy Network to supply low carbon heat to a range of public and private sector buildings in Huddersfield Town Centre.
The next phase of this project is commercialisation and Full Business Case development which will involve working closely with external delivery partners. The Council have been awarded in excess of \xc2\xa38million to develop its HDEN through commercialisation through to the construction and operational phase.
The role will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders including internal colleagues, senior managers, Councillors and Cabinet members, consultants and businesses and be the Council\'s lead and primary point of contact for the HDEN scheme.
This role is funded by and subject to external funding.
About You
You\'ll need a pro-active approach, an understanding of good practice in project or programme management and the ability to analyse and synthesise large amounts of information, develop cost models and business cases. Alongside this, you will be experienced in working on projects involving a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
