Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. Experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is highly desirable. They will be asked on occasion to help cover in the yard when requested.

Responsibilities

Operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring safe and efficient transport of goods to various locations. Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as required. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage. Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated is essential.

Hours

Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 17.00pm / Friday 7.30am - 16.00PM Every second Saturday 8.00am -12.00pm
