Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily duties.

Duties

Operate a delivery van safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured for transport. Communicate with store managers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Requirements

Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous but not essential. A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with company policies. Flexibility in working hours, including potential weekend shifts as required by the business needs.
