Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Self Employed Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations around the Doncaster area, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.

Duties

Safely drive a delivery van or lorry to designated locations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of items. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist with warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; commercial driving experience is advantageous. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of goods. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. A proactive approach to problem-solving in dynamic situations.
