Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting baked goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the job. A valid driving licence and experience in commercial driving are essential.

Responsibilities

Drive a delivery van to transport baked goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that heavy lifting is performed safely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and receipts. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery, including inventory management and organisation.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a warehouse environment. Flexibility in working hours may be required based on delivery schedules.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
