You will establish a career where you will have the freedom to learn, achieve your ambitions and leave your mark on the communities in which we work.Skanska has been appointed to the North West and Central Framework and allocated a bridge replacement project in Clifton, Penrith, Cumbria on the West Coast Mainline over the M6 Motorway. As a Trainee Project Manager, you will gain a holistic understanding of this project through a wide variety of experiences with different teams such as project delivery, commercial and engineering.What you'll do:

  • Develop an understanding of project management techniques which promote collaboration, synergy and outperformance to deliver against our overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead a variety of projects across different teams whilst honing your stakeholder engagement and management techniques.
  • Use theory and innovative techniques underpinned by data and evidence, suggest new ways of working/ approaching work.
  • Be accountable for your own development by working outside of natural comfort zones and learning from mistakes.
  • Utilise your presence in different teams to share knowledge and create efficiencies where possible.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • 3 A-levels at Grade A - C, BTEC Extended National Diploma or equivalent level 3 qualification.
  • 5 GCSEs at Grades 5-9 including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent for us to successfully enrol you on the apprenticeship
  • You will enjoy working with other people
  • Enthusiasm to learn
  • Have an interest in construction or engineering
What qualification will you be studying towards?Degree Apprenticeship in Project Management at a local University to the project on a weekly or block release basis.What we offer:
